Ask About It

Before your appointment

A few simple steps help avoid delays or a wasted trip.

01

Request

Send your general location, document type, number of signers, and preferred time window.

02

Confirm

We will confirm the appointment location, estimated fee, trip-fee policy, and any special issues before traveling.

03

Wait to sign

Do not sign the document before the appointment. Any signature line requiring notarization must be left blank until the notary is present.

04

Bring valid ID

Each signer should have a current government-issued photo ID available at the appointment.

Quick appointment confirmation

Before traveling, we may ask you to confirm the basic appointment terms by text, email, or the form below. This helps avoid wasted trips and protects both parties if the notarization cannot be completed.

What the confirmation covers

  • The signer will have valid government-issued photo identification available.
  • The document is complete and ready for review and signing.
  • Any signature line requiring notarization has been left blank.
  • Any required witnesses will be present, unless we agree otherwise in advance.
  • The signer will be present, alert, willing to sign, and able to communicate directly.
  • A mobile trip fee may still apply if we arrive and the notarization cannot be completed for reasons outside our control.

Trip-fee policy

A mobile appointment/trip fee covers travel, time, scheduling, and waiting. It is separate from the notarial act. If we arrive at the agreed location and the notarization cannot be completed because of missing ID, missing witnesses, an incomplete document, the signer not being present, the signer being unwilling or unable to sign, or another issue outside our control, the confirmed trip fee may still be due.

The trip fee does not guarantee notarization. If Tennessee notary requirements are not met, we may not be able to notarize the document.

Need a public meetup spot?

If you do not have a suitable place to meet, we can discuss a public, practical location in Kingsport. The exact location must be agreed to before the appointment, and it should be safe, accessible, and appropriate for signing documents.

Kingsport Public Library area

Useful for daytime appointments when a quiet, public setting is preferred. Confirm current hours and location before meeting.

Downtown / City Hall area

A central option for people already handling city, business, or downtown errands.

Fort Henry Mall area

An indoor public space that may have seating available. Confirm details before meeting.

Target / East Stone Drive shopping area

A familiar shopping area that may work for daytime appointments when a neutral public location is preferred.

Kingsport parks and Greenbelt areas

Warriors' Path, Borden Park, Riverview, or Greenbelt-area locations may work in good weather if parking, accessibility, and the signing setting make sense.

Coffee shop or hotel lobby

Often useful for travelers, business guests, and people who need a neutral place to meet.

Public meetup availability depends on weather, hours, parking, accessibility, and whether the setting is appropriate for the document and signer. A valid government-issued photo ID is still required.
